New Brunswick – The Executive Board of the New Jersey Presidents’ Council unanimously approved a new state-wide agreement on student transfers at a special meeting on December 22, 2006, at Rutgers University.
The agreement is now being distributed to the presidents of New Jersey colleges and universities for their review and endorsement. Text of the transfer agreement is available at http://www.njpc.org
The Board also unanimously approved two motions offered by President Susan Cole:
1) The Presidents’ Council will create a task force of mathematics faculty members from two-year and four-year institutions to review math requirements in the new transfer agreement, and to submit their recommendations to the Presidents’ Council by March 19, 2007.
2) The Council will ask an existing special task force headed by President Peter Burnham to develop an implementation plan for the new transfer agreement for discussion at the next full meeting of the NJPC on February 21, 2007.
