The New Jersey Presidents' Council is a 50 member board representing New Jersey's public, private, and community colleges and universities. The advisory board is made up of the presidents of the state's public and independent institutions of higher education that receive state aid. The presidents of three proprietary schools and the presidents of the two largest religious institutions also serve to represent the interest of all such schools. The Council's charge is to make recommendation on new programs, regional alliances, budget and student aid levels, licensure, and the statewide higher education master plan [continued here]
